Custard powder is a cornflour based mixture commonly cooked with milk to make puddings and desserts. Most custard powders typically include sugar and vanilla or some other flavour. It can be used as a thickening agent for desserts like Badam Milk and Payasam. Custard pudding is mixed with chopped fruits to make tasty fruit salads or consumed as is or together with jellys. Custard bases may also be used for making other savoury foods like pastry and custard tarts.
