GMS (Glycerol monostearate) is a food additive used as a thickening, emulsifying, anti-caking and preservative agent. GMS is used in baking preparations to add "body" to the food and is responsible for giving ice cream and whipped cream its smooth texture. It is used in making biscuits, and as an emulsifier in candy preparation, chewing gums, margarines and peanut butter. G.M.S. has high nutritive value.
Once the pack is open the GMS Powder has to be stored in air tight containers. Place it in the refrigerator to increase its shelf life. Use in food preparation as per your recipe
