Monosodium Glutamate popularly known as Ajinomoto is the sodium salt of Glutamic Acid, one of the most abundantly available natural amino- acids. It is found in tomatoes, grapes, cheese and mushrooms. It is used in food industry as a taste enhancer. It intensifies the meaty, savoury flavour of foods like stews and meat soups.
